Hiking around Kathmandu is available throughout the year. There are two major seasons for trekking in Nepal. However, Sundarijal Nagarkot trek is possible during any season of the year. The numbers of trekkers depend on the season though.
High Season: Among the four seasons, spring and autumn are the high seasons. Spring remains from March to May and it is autumn September until November.
Low Season: Winter and summer are the low seasons. The trails are quieter and less crowded in summer and winter. It can be an ideal time for solo travellers also.
